Limitations on liability of health practitioners providing health care services without compensation
Oregon Revised Statutes 676.340 and 676.345 limit the liability of Oregon licensed physicians, physician assistants, acupuncturists, and certain other health care practitioners from injury, death, or other loss that may arise from services they provide without compensation.

Oregon Health Authority - Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act
Oregon's Death with Dignity Act, enacted on October 27, 1997, allows terminally ill individuals to end their lives through the voluntary self-administration of lethal medications prescribed by a physician. The Oregon Health Authority is responsible for collecting data on participating patients and physicians and publishing an annual statistical report on the Act.
Academy of Aid-in-Dying Medicine
The Academy of Aid-in-Dying Medicine provides clinicians with education and resources about medical aid in dying, through clinical discussions and evidence-based knowledge, including palliative care, bedside volunteer support, medical ethics, pharmacology, doctors, and doulas.
